In November 2001, the Democratic Divas of Nebraska started meeting monthly for drinks and appetizers/dinner, alternating between OMAHA and LINCOLN. This dynamic and ever-growing group invites INDEPENDENT as well as, obviously, DEMOCRATIC voters.
Our 7th Anniversary was celebrated in Omaha on Wednesday November 14th, 2007, at the Omaha meeting!!!
The Democratic Divas of Nebraska currently offer $1,000 scholarship(s) each year, available to Nebraska women for college. See main page DOWNLOADS for the complete application criteria and application. Deadline is January 31, 2009.
Plans for Democratic Divas' meetings and an annual event are being discussed for 2008 and will be announced at a later date. Watch this website for future meeting and event information!

No meeting was held in Lincoln on Wed November 8th, but our Divas were encouraged to celebrate November 7th Election results with candidates at Brewskys in the Haymarket. Many thanks to our Program Committee for providing great community service opportunity to assist Center for People in Need Thanksgiving food distribution on Thursday, November 16 at the Easterday Recreation Center. Many thanks to all of the Divas who volunteered! |
